A commenter here noted how he liked all the different links in this post. But links also embody the very overload of choice you mention -- instead of just reading a five paragraph essay . . .

Fantastic piece. I love not only the comment but the use of links is fantastic. I'm constantly impressed by your level of blogging.

Bunch of thoughts here...but my quick reaction is:

    1. I keep telling myself I will ask people "Who are you?" instead of "What do you do?" at cocktail parties. Haven't been able to break the habit yet. http://ben.casnocha.com/2006/02/who_are_you_ins...

    2. Agreed our generation must deal with the blessing and curse of tons and tons of choice.

    3. A commenter here noted how he liked all the different links in this post. But links also embody the very overload of choice you mention -- instead of just reading a five paragraph essay, I read a five paragraph essay with about a dozen micro-decisions ("Should I click the link or not?") that must be made as I go through it....

We’re a generation of people who have been raised to believe we can do anything. this is so true indeed!
